Tyne Housing is a charitable housing association and registered provider of social housing based in the North East. We have been providing support, housing, healthcare and more for some of our region's most vulnerable people since 1973.
The majority of people who live with us at Tyne have experienced homelessness/insecure housing, and often have many complex issues facing their daily lives. We meet people where they are, and whether it’s finding a home, breaking an addiction or building skills for the future, we will be there to support them every step of the way.
Our person-centred approach means that from the very beginning people are set up with appropriate housing and support that is suited to their own strengths, challenges and situations. Our available homes include specialist accommodation for people who want to remain sober, are leaving secure hospital, or who are ready to move on from supported housing to find work.
Through our commitment to wellbeing, communities and learning, we deliver training and development opportunities for all the people we support. From creative arts, to formal employability workshops, we enable people to grow their skills and confidence so that they can move forward in life. Beyond helping individuals, we invest in the region and in our communities.

At Tyne, our entire purpose is about helping people who feel isolated, unsafe or excluded get to a better place. Homelessness, poverty, addictions, suffering with poor physical and mental health are just some of the situations people can find themselves in – but with this strategy, we want to look beyond labels and see the whole person.
