One Housing Group joins Communities that Work

One Housing is a not-for-profit housing association looking after approx 15,000 homes across London and surrounding counties.

The group helps people find work, supports those with care needs and provides affordable places to live.

One Housing runs an extensive employment programme, which they describe as, “We’re not just about housing. We also want our residents to have a good quality of life and we can help in lots of ways including support to find a job, through to work-based training, volunteering schemes, free courses and local projects.”

Job searches, training and short courses, volunteering and a dedicated youth service all feature within the programme. In the last year they have helped 42 young residents find employment. They offer a wide range of courses to residents from football coaching to business admin and interview preparation.
