New Communities that Work board

Communities that Work is moving towards becoming a not-for-profit incorporated Company.

The future directors elected Ian Simpson from Guinness as the new Chair who will take over from Kate Shone of Forum Housing.

Ian said of his new role, “I fee extremely privileged to lead the consortium and would like to thank Kate Shone for her outstanding contribution to Communities that Work. Kate was the first Chair and helped to establish Communities that Work as a leading light in developing partnerships between the Housing and Employment sectors.”

Ian Simpson went on to comment that he was delighted that Kate would stay on as a Director ensuring her experience remained an asset to Communities that Work in its next phase of development.

Communities that Work’s new board will be made up of 10 directors who work for Communities that Work’s member organisations, representing housing associations across the country.
