Communities that Work meets Employment Minister Esther McVey MP

The workless-ness agenda was a key topic of discussion when Communities that Work members met with Esther McVey MP, Minister for Housing.

The meeting was attended by Communities that Work members Kate Shone and Reena Mukherji along with Communities that Work partner Dave Simmonds, CEO of Inclusion.

The Minister was advised about the range of initiatives Communities that Work members undertake to help customers find work as well as social landlords

Kate and Reena made the case for greater involvement for Social Landlords when considering new employment ideas. Communities that Work will be following up this meeting with officials from the Department of Work and Pensions.

Communities that Work regularly engages with Government and opposition parties to discuss policy matters around the employment and skills agenda.
