Futures Housing Group signs up to Give Us a Chance
Futures Housing Group (FHG) has become the latest Housing Association to join Communities that Work, the leading consortium of social landlords in the employment and skills sector.
The latest member to sign up to Communities that Work brings with it experience from the heart of England and the Midlands, where FHG manages more than 9,000 homes across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
FHG has a history of investment in the employment and skills agenda – as a co-owner of Access Training, a vocational training company based in the Midlands. Access works with more than 500 local employers and helps more than 1,150 learners enrol on apprenticeships or courses.
Speaking of the latest news Ian Simpson, Chair of Communities that Work said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Future Homes Group to Communities that Work. Their investment into employment and vocation training in the Midlands shows just how joined up housing and employment services can be”.
Lindsey Williams, Chief Executive of Futures Housing Group, said: “Joining Communities that Work reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in employment and skills as we continue to offer opportunities to our customers and improve our communities.
“As well as our ongoing focus on Access Training, this new link-up will help bring the employment and housing agendas closer together, something that will be crucial to helping overcome many of the challenges faced by the housing sector.”
