First Choice Homes Oldham become a member
Oldham based housing association, First Choice Homes Oldham are the latest organisation to join Communities that Work.
The not-for-profit organisation looks after approx 12,000 homes and describes their mission as “Working together to improve homes and communities, to make them places where people want to live”.
The association has a programme of learning courses offered free of charge to the customers which includes key skills such as maths and english, using the Internet, job skills and money management as well as e-learning courses.

They also offer a range of volunteering opportunities within their organisation for their customers – helping to provide vital experience and ‘hands on’ opportunities for people looking to expand their skill sets and those looking for work.
Kate Shone, Communities that Work chair said, “We’re really thrilled First Choice Homes Oldham has joined us. They are forward looking organisation who have a great approach to developing new opportunities for training and routes to employment for their customers.”
