Communities that Work Member Day, 7 February 2020

This year’s first Member Day is taking place on 7 February 2020, kindly hosted by Community Gateway at their Preston offices.

If you are a Communities that Work member, please sign up for this free event by 31 January. Above all, this is a chance to connect with colleagues from across the housing and employment sectors. In addition, you will also hear from Communities that Work about our plans and priorities as well as from expert speakers listed below.

Here is a quick summary of the day’s agenda:

  • Welcome from hosts, Community Gateway
  • Introduction to bid-writing skills from John Westby, Head of Fundraising and Business Development, Clarion Futures
  • How Metropolitan Thames Valley worked with leadership coach, Lorenzo Hall, to develop a programme for economically inactive young people aged 16-24 in social housing
  • Aster Foundation’s new approach to housing and procurement presented by its director, Cam Kinsella
  • Information about how Cognisoft software is helping training providers in the apprenticeships, skills and employability sectors from Emma Cook, Joint Managing Director

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 3.30pm.
