Post-election round up


After the election this webinar reviews the outcome of the election, and reviews the policies that Housing organisations should now be starting to prepare for.

We hear from our public affairs expert, Jennifer Riddell, PR Director at See Media, and have the opportunity to hear reflections from Communities that Work chair Ian Simpson.


  • Ian Simpson
    Ian Simpson has been employed by the Guinness Partnership for over 17 years. Currently, Ian is leading Guinness’ response to welfare reform, developing apprenticeship and access to work opportunities for customers.
    Ian has led on achievement of regional and national awards on behalf of Guinness including for youth engagement; supporting diversity in recruitment and excellence in education and training’.
    Ian holds an MPhil in Housing from Glasgow University. He is a Project Board Member of the Unity Primary School in Manchester and a Board Member of the Global Centre for Cooperative Security UK.
  • Jenny Riddell
    Jenny Riddell, PR Director at See Media, is Communities that Work’s communications lead. She has been working in social housing communications for over five years, and nearly ten years in communications and lobbying. She works on a range of housing and development briefs, helping clients in the housing sector.
    See Media provides public affairs, internal communications and strategic PR counsel to the housing sector.

    Francis Sealey is Founder, GlobalNet21, a former producer at the BBC for The Open University, Francis has extensive experience of engaging with local communities. GlobalNet21 was set up to engage diverse audiences of citizens and communities in discussing the big issues of the 21st century.
